Use MYID with confidence.

This guide explains how employees and other authorized users connect to a company, sign in, review identity information, use approved account functions, respond to security events, and get help. The screens you see depend on what your company enables.

MYID support and your company helpdesk should never ask you to send a password, OTP value, recovery code, access token, private key, or setup secret. Report any request for one of these values to your security team.
First use

Connect to the right company and complete every verification step.

1. InstallUse the application store or managed catalog approved by your company.
2. ConnectScan the setup QR code, choose its saved image, or enter the company identifier.
3. ConfirmCheck the company name and branding before you continue.
4. Sign inEnter your company credentials and complete every required verification choice.

Company connection

  • Open MYID.
  • Choose the QR scanner, photo picker, or company identifier option.
  • Use only setup information supplied by your company.
  • Confirm that MYID shows the company you expected.
  • Contact your helpdesk if the company name or branding is wrong.

Sign in and device verification

  • Use the username format required by your company.
  • Complete any OTP, provider, or second verification step.
  • Use only the newest OTP value and never share it.

Main areas

What each part of MYID can show.

insights

Insights

Review available profile details, password health, MFA factors, incidents, device evidence, security score, automatic protection status, and the last successful synchronization time.

manage_accounts

Manage

Use identity actions approved by your company, such as password changes, profile updates, MFA factor management, directory unlock, recovery approvals, activity, and device information.

shield

Protect

Review security incidents, risk information, and response choices that the server can associate with your identity. Evidence that is still being checked should not appear as a final healthy result.

school

Learn

Open security training when your company has configured a supported training provider. An unconfigured provider can be unavailable without indicating that you failed training.

Synchronization

Freshness should tell the truth.

MYID can show protected local information quickly and then refresh eligible sections. A new synchronization time should represent a successful live checkpoint. Cached evidence keeps its original freshness and should not be presented as a new result.

When you refresh

  • Allow the current request to finish.
  • Multiple refresh requests can join one synchronization already in progress.
  • A degraded result can mean that one optional provider did not respond while other information updated.
  • Checking, refreshing, no data, and unavailable are different from a verified healthy result.

Profile photo behavior

  • A successfully downloaded profile photo can be stored in a protected app cache for that company and user.
  • The cached photo can appear without waiting for the main synchronization.
  • MYID can refresh photo content separately while the app is active.
  • Other company systems can take more time to show a newly updated photo.
Identity actions

Follow the authoritative result, not an assumption.

password

Password

Follow the company policy shown by MYID. If a change times out, do not assume it failed. Try the new password through the approved sign in path or contact your helpdesk before repeating the change.

phonelink_lock

MFA factors

Verify that every factor belongs to you. Report an unknown factor immediately. Remove a factor only when another approved sign in method remains available.

lock_open

Directory unlock

Review the status time, request a fresh check, complete any required verification, and wait for MYID to confirm the resulting directory state. An account that is already unlocked should be reported as unlocked.

person_edit

Profile

Your company decides which profile fields can be changed. Phone, email, address, and photo changes can require extra verification or provider processing time.

notification_important

Incidents

Review the time, source, and recommended action. Choose only the response that describes what happened. Contact your security team when activity is unfamiliar.

auto_awesome

Autopilot

When enabled by your company, automatic protection can take approved action after a configured response period. Review the consent, timing, and available choices carefully.

Troubleshooting

Safe checks for common problems.

Company will not connect

Confirm internet access, use the complete current company identifier or QR code, check the displayed company name, and confirm that MYID is current. Retry once after a timeout, then contact your helpdesk.

Sign in is slow or fails

Wait for the active attempt, verify your username format, use only the newest OTP value, and confirm that your device time is automatic. Stop repeated attempts if they could lock your account.

The synchronization time does not change

Check whether the result was live, degraded, cached, or unavailable. Leave MYID open briefly after one refresh. Report the displayed time and app build if the successful live checkpoint still does not update.

An allowed Manage action looks unavailable

Confirm that the current app version is installed. Return to Manage once. If the action remains unavailable, ask your helpdesk to confirm that the company capability and provider are enabled.

Directory unlock could not be confirmed

Reopen the unlock screen and review the fresh status. Try the approved account sign in when appropriate. Avoid repeated unlock requests when the account is already unlocked.

A notification opens an unavailable item

Refresh once, then contact your helpdesk with the approximate time and visible message. Never approve activity that you do not recognize.

Privacy and support

Share enough context to investigate without sharing a secret.

Useful support details

  • Company display name
  • App version and build
  • Date, time, and time zone

Operational records

MYID can record security and operational events for your company, including identity context, action, time, result, duration, correlation, and provider status. Where safe capture is available, records can include sanitized request and response evidence plus a truthful capture status.

Passwords, OTP values, access tokens, authorization data, keys, and configured secret fields should be removed or protected. Retention and authorized access depend on your company agreement and applicable policy.
