Account and Data Deletion
Removing the mobile app clears app data according to the device platform, but it does not automatically delete records controlled by your employer, identity provider, directory, security platform, or legal retention rule.
Remove the app from your device
- Sign out of MYID if you can do so safely.
- Use the device settings or app library to remove MYID Self Verify.
- If the device is company managed, follow the company device removal process.
- Contact the company helpdesk if the old device is lost, stolen, replaced, or no longer under your control.
App removal normally deletes the local profile image cache, local summary cache, company configuration, and protected local session data according to the operating system. A registered push token or server session can remain until it expires or is revoked by the applicable system.
Request deletion of company account data
Your employer or customer usually controls employee identity records. Submit the request to the privacy contact or helpdesk identified by your organization. The company can verify your identity, determine which systems hold the record, apply its retention duties, and instruct SPS when MYID platform data must be deleted.
SPS cannot delete an employer’s directory, identity provider, security incident, training, or legal record without proper authorization from the controller.
Request deletion of website or support data
Use the MYID Privacy Request form for information you provided directly through this website, such as a contact inquiry, support message, or optional website analytics identifier. We may request information needed to verify the request. Do not send a password, OTP value, token, or private key.
Information that may be retained
Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, accounting, contract records, regulatory duties, backup cycles, or proof that a deletion request was honored. Retained information is limited to the applicable purpose and no longer used for an incompatible purpose.
